How I look at things
I’m interested in the small, unglamorous ways people look after each other: the cup of tea nobody asked for, the well-timed joke, the family story that gets retold every Christmas until it’s practically furniture. Grand gestures get the credit. The quiet stuff does most of the work.
I like the gap between what people say and what they mean. Someone announces they hate football, then turns up to the grand final anyway. Most of the good stuff happens in that gap.
I’m also drawn to the family traditions nobody can quite explain any more, and everybody keeps up anyway.

Interconnected stories about memory, friendship, grief and family. Warm, funny, and not squeamish about the harder bits.
